Thus, especially the organelles in the head region of the sperm or the cavities called vacuoles are evaluated in more detail and the best quality sperm is selected and used in the fertilization process of the egg.
While the sperm cell is enlarged approximately 400 times in standard microscopes, the best sperm are selected under magnification of 6000-8000 times in the IMSI program and with the help of a special computer program. In this way, higher fertilization is achieved with better sperm, especially in couples with sperm factor.
