Between 23–25 October 2025, our embryologist Tarkan Cevirgen successfully completed the ESHRE ‘Essentials of Vitrification’ training programme held in Switzerland.
Organised by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), this comprehensive training brought together experts in the field of assisted reproductive technologies to discuss the latest scientific developments in oocyte and embryo freezing (cryopreservation) methods.
What is Vitrification?
Vitrification is an ultra-rapid cryopreservation technique that prevents ice crystal formation during the freezing process. This method allows embryos and eggs to be safely stored without damaging their cellular structure, thereby significantly increasing success rates in IVF treatments.
